Psalm Chapter 84
To the chief Musician upon Gittith
This is how we would feel if we let days go by without prayer and seeking out the will of God in our lives. If we neglected to read and study the word and our church attendance fell off, we would begin to feel dry and would be in need of a touch of God's spirit. We should long for God's presence daily; for without Him we have no strength against the worldly influence around us.
Dwelling in the house of the Lord would be like dwelling in His presence. When we consider His word, follow after His righteousness and be partakers in His holiness, it is the same as dwelling in His house. God made this available to each and every one of us that receive Him into their lives. We can walk with God like Adam did before he fell into sin. That is why Jesus came to reconcile us back to God and reverse the curse that Adam caused. When one comes to Christ Jesus, it is just as if the curse never happened at least to the one that receives Him. We actually become a child of God. Through the Holy Spirit He gives to all who believe in Him, we can walk with God on a daily basis. We are never alone from that point onward.
God is all we have folks. He is the only truth and absolute foundation that we have. Many are ignoring, turning aside and have already forsaken the word of God. They have set grievous paths with no way out and no where to go. I cry out for the United States of America. I plead for her sins. Help us Lord to get back on the right path. I pray for the leaders of the churches to pray without ceasing and get direction from God for many have lost their way. There is one called Satan that would love to destroy our country, the United States or any country that spreads the gospel and has the freedom to do so. So far our country has. One time the king of Moab wanted God to curse Israel. He hated Israel as did Satan, the one who motivated the king of Moab. The king of Moab went to the prophet Balaam and bribed him to curse Israel. Balaam discovered though that God would not curse Israel. Israel was God's chosen people through His promise to Abraham years before. So Balaam and that wicked king plotted a way to get God to curse Israel by sending in beautiful women of Moab to entice the men in the camp of Israel to commit fornication with these women. The women then would entice Israel into worshiping the idols of Moab instead of God. I wake up many mornings and realize that the same things are happening in my own country. We are a country that believes in freedom of religion, a country that has sent missionaries all over the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have been one country that has a constitution that gives freedom of speech, children began school with prayer along with the pledge of allegiance to the flag. Satan has tried to destroy us from our beginning though. We passed a constitution granting freedom but some greedy people introduced slavery. It took a war and many lost lives to end that horrible barbaric practice. The idol of greed and laziness almost did us in. We need a national revival and repentance. We have to have God back in our country or we might see more 9/11s. Just when we were about to come out of the slavery issue Satan brought in other ways to get God to curse America. Evolution has been taught in our schools as a fact instead of the theory that it is. When we see how a baby is born, the way the kidneys work, the heart, the brain etc. How can we think it all happened by accident? Yet many assume it is true without even considering a God that created human beings. The teaching of evolution gets us away from the appreciation of life and the eternal soul. When human life is thought of as a product of evolution, it loses it's value in our minds. When we no longer consider ourselves made in the image of God, we lose our importance. Hitler thought that the mentally ill had no place in society, so he eliminated them. If one believes in evolution and the survival of the strong and healthy, we begin to pick and choose who lives and who dies. Human life becomes less important. This is why we now have abortion on demand and society does not consider it to be murder. Innocent life is being taken and they do not consider that a precious human being made in the image of God is being destroyed. If it is a product of evolution than it is not yet become a perfect human being, so they believe it's all right to kill it. However, if that child is a created being made in the image of God, the value goes up and it is now murder to kill the child in the womb of its mother. The idol of Baal, sacrificing our children to it, was actually Satan's attempt to get God to curse us. Our society got worse in its attempt to deny God and allow evil to be called good and good to be called evil. Those that object to abortion and try to correct this awful mistake that was made in 1973 are called evil by attempting to deny a woman's right to choose. Those that fight for a woman's right to choose to kill her unborn baby are considered good. Prayer and bible reading were removed from the public schools in 1963. Abortion became permissible in 1973 ten years after the removal of prayer and bible reading. Without God evil will follow fast. God made each part of our bodies for a
purpose. If we abuse our bodies and use them for any other purpose
than which it was created for, we will suffer harm. Thus we have
horrible diseases because we departed from God's divine order in how
we live. God's way is safe, holy and pure. Without His ways we have
horrible diseases that are incurable. The idol of lust and pleasure
has become another god.
Truly one hour in the presence of the Lord is better than a lifetime in the this wicked world. We will be blessed by abundance of rain, peace, good weather, healthy crops, and many good things in this life and in eternity, everlasting life. All we have to do is read the mistakes Israel made in their journey in the wilderness and we see what caused their problems. Departing from God to service idols. We have idols to. They separate us from the one who brings blessing. This doesn't mean that we live a life free from troubles at least on the earth because even if we receive Jesus as our Lord, others have not. Until the Lord returns things will never be perfect but we have the assurance of eternal life, bodies that can never die and the joy of the Lord. We still live in a fallen world until God completes the work He sent His servants to do. Spread the gospel all over the entire world. My point is that if the whole world would receive God and turn away from sin, all things we worry about would be solved. We keep messing it up though with hate, departing from God, doing our own thing, and hating those that bring the gospel that would solve everything. This is something we can't force though. Each individual must receive Christ by their own choice.
Take one step toward the Lord and He will take several steps toward you. He wants to save not destroy. Destruction only comes when we continually reject God and desire our own ways. The enemy comes in like a flood when we reject God and His protection is withdrawn.
America needs to get back to God. Without Him there is no salvation. Our armies are weak without His protection. We think we are so mighty but without the fear of God, we will fall. If we continue in abortion, sexual immorality, denying God's existence, and mocking the written word, we will perish. The enemy waits for God's protection to be removed so that he can move in and destroy us. This enemy is Satan who will kill, steal and destroy our country. He wants us to lose our souls and enter eternity in hell with no way out. From the beginning of the creation of man, the enemy has wanted to destroy God's creation. This is why he brought in sexual immorality and abortion. We now have those that want the freedom to do these things with little children. They actually are claiming pedophilia is a sexual orientation and want it legalized. If everyone gave in to these desires, the human race would die out. This is why the enemy raises up dictators, despots and evil rulers that want mass destruction of human beings. He wants to eliminate the human race and we sit and let him do it. God has a remnant who believes in Him. God sent Jesus to save and destroy the power of the enemy. We can receive Jesus Christ or reject Him but God sent us His only Son to save us and we can be free if we choose His way of righteousness instead of going our own way and doing our own thing. DC
