The Way to God
GOD CREATED OUR WORLD AND ALL LIVING
THINGS IN THE WORLD
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1
For by Him were all things created, that
are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisable, whether
they be Thronges, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things
were created by him, and for him: Colossians 1:16
May you be blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth. The heaven,
even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of
men. Psalms 115: 15,16
The earth was perfect at the beginning when God first
created it. Let's find out what went wrong.
GOD CREATED MAN IN HIS OWN IMAGE
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them
have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, and over
every living thing that moveth upon the earth."
Genesis 1: 26
MAN BECAME A LIVING SOUL
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7
Becoming a living soul means that it doesn't die
but lives forever. That soul will be somewhere forever.
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make
him a help meet for him. Genesis 2:18
God created the animals first and then created
Eve.
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to
fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up
the flesh in its place. Then the rib, which the LORD God had taken from
man, He made into a woman, and brought her to the man. Genesis 2: 21-22
ADAM AND EVE DISOBEYED GOD BY
BELIEVING SATAN'S LIE INSTEAD OF BELIEVING GOD'S ORIGINAL WORD
We should never listen to the voice of Satan.
He is out to steal, kill and destroy all of God's creation, especially
mankind. From the story of Balaam, we can see that the first word God says, is
the one we should listen to. There is a difference between God's will and
God's permissive will.
Then the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it
and to keep it. Genesus 2:15
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely
eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in
the day that thou eat of it you shalt surely die. Genesis 2: 16-17
THE SERPENT, ALSO CALLED THE DEVIL OR SATAN, QUESTIONED GOD'S AUTHORITY, AND TOLD A
LIE.
Satan uses a serpent more subtile than the other beats
to speak to Eve and deceive her.
And the serpent said unto the woman, you will not surely die:
For God knows that in the day that ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall
be open and you shall be as gods knowing good and evil. So when the woman
saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to
be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof and did eat and gave to her husband
with her and he
did eat. Genesis 3: 4,6
ADAM AND EVE WERE CAST OUT OF THE GARDEN

The LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from
which he was taken. He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a
flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way of the tree of life. Genesis
3: 23,24
IT WAS A SAD DAY FOR THE HUMAN RACE WHEN ADAM AND EVE SINNED
Through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death
passed upon all men for all have sinned. Romans 5:12
Something to Remember
Every person is born with the sin nature and will some day die because death came by sin.
GOD'S PLAN TO RESCUE US FROM SIN WAS TO SEND HIS ONLY SON
To enter the human race, the Son of God had to come as a human baby.
And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save
His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21
For in Him (Christ Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
Colossians 2:9
JESUS IS GOD-IN HUMAN FORM
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt
(lived) among us (and we behold His glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth. John 1: 14
Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled
23 Behold a virgin shall be with
child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is
interpreted, 'God
with us.'" Matthew 1: 22,23
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government will be
upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
JESUS CHRIST-OUR PERFECT SACRIFICE
The only human man that never sinned.
For He hath made Him to be sin for us Who knew no sin;
that we might be make the righteousness of God in Him. 2
Corinthians 5:21
Who did no sin neither was guile found in
His mouth: 1 Peter 2:22
No sacrifice or offering humans could make was
powerful or perfect enough to take away sin.
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away
sins. Hebrews 10:4
Jesus is the Lamb of God.
The next day John sees Jesus coming unto
him, and says, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin
of the world!" John 1:21
JESUS GAVE HIS LIFE TO SAVE US
Jesus was nailed to a wooden cross because cruel people hated Him. But His death was
God's plan, Jesus, of His own free will, laid down His life to save you and me from our
sins.
John 10:17 Therefore does my Father love me
because I lay down of myself . 18 No man takes it from Me, but I lay it
down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it
again.
WE ARE REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD OF GOD'S LAMB
1 Peter 1: 18 For as much as you know that you
were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver or
gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition of your fathers; 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without
spot.
NO OTHER SACRIFICES CAN TAKE AWAY SIN
Hebrews 9:9 Then He said, behold I come to do
thy will, oh God. He takes away the first, that He may establish the
second. 10 By the which we will been sanctified (made holy) through the offering of the body of Jesus
Christ once for all.

ALL WHO BELIEVE IN GOD'S SON HAVE LIFE
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes
in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Colossians 1:13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated (transferred) us
into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 In whom we have redemption through His blood, the
forgiveness of sins.
Redemption means we have been brought back.
HE IS RISEN!
Matthew 28: 5 And the angel answered and said to the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye
seek Jesus, which was crucified. 26 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see
the place where the Lord lay.
JESUS CAME UP FROM THE DEAD
I am he WHO LIVES, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and
have the keys of Hades (hell) and of death. Revelation 1: 18
John 14:18 Philip says unto Him, Lord, show us
the Father and it sufficeth us. 19 Because I live, ye shall live also.
Because Christ has conquered death and has the keys to death, we no longer need to
fear death.
What time I am afraid, I will trust
in You. Psalm 56:3
JESUS CAN SAVE YOU AND IS PRAYING FOR YOU
Hebrew 7:24 But this man, because He continues
forever, has an unchangable priesthood. 25 Wherefore He is able also to save them to the
uttermost (completely) those who come to God through Him, seeing He ever lives to make
intercession for them.
YOU AND I CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE
WHICH CHOICE WILL YOU MAKE?
Eternal Life |
Eternal Death |
Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to
serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which
your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of
the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will
serve the LORD.
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to
record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death,
blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may
live:
JESUS IS THE WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any
other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we
must be saved.
Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and
beside me there is no saviour.
WHY MUST WE CHOOSE JESUS IF WE WANT ETERNAL LIFE?

1. It is Christ who came
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to
steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and
that they might have it more abundantly.
2. Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I
now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and
gave himself for me.
Hebbrews 2:14 Forasmuch
then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself
likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that
had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to
bondage.
3. Only the blood of Jesus is the remedy for our sins.
Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is
in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement
for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he
is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus
Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption
through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins
4. It is Christ who rose from the dead.
Romans 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised
from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
2 Corinthians 5:15 And that he died for
all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto
him which died for them, and rose again.
John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world
seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
5.We must have the Spirit of Christ in us to be raised to life eternal (to live
forever.)
Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known
what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is
Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that
raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the
dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in
you.
MAKE SURE THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST LIVES IN YOU
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in
the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have
not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
HOW TO FIND YOUR WAY TO GOD
1. Admit you are a sinner (have disobeyed God).
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
2. Come to God through Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ
Jesus.
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save
them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make
intercession for them.
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall
come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
3. Repent of your sins (To repent means to be "sorry enough to quit
sinning.")
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be
converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing
shall come from the presence of the Lord;
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning
his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not
willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
4. Confess your sins to Jesus (To confess means to "tell or admit."
5. Forsake your sins. (To forsake means to "give up, leave alone.")
Proverbs 28:13 He that covers his sins will not prosper: but whosoever confesses and forsakes them
shall have mercy.
Psalms 37:27 Depart form evil, and do good and
dwell for evermore.
6. Believe on Jesus Christ
Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that
God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace you have been saved, through faith it is the gift of God;
It is a gift of God. Not
of works, lest any man should boast.
Acts 16:31 And they said believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and
thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
House in the above verse simply means one's
household or the people that live in your house such as your children.
7. Receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life.

Only you can open the door of your heart and invite Jesus to come in. Jesus said:
Revelation 3:20 Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come
in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Sup means to dine with or have fellowship with.
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them
gave he power to become the sons of
God, even to them that believe in His name.
A Prayer Guide
If you have never prayed before and you need help to pray, you may follow the prayer
below as a guide.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for dying on the cross to take away my sins. I am sorry for all the wrong
things I have done. I ask you to please come into my life and live in my life forever. I
am trusting you right now to make my soul clean. I take you to be my very own Savior and
Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen.
RECEIVE JESUS, YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE
1 John 5: 11,12 This isthe record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He
that hath
the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
John 5:24 Verily verily I say unto you, He that
heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me hath everlasting
life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from
death unto life.
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are
confident, I say and willing rather to be absent from the body, and be present
with the Lord.
Paul writes that he would rather be absent from
the body and present with the Lord. So we take from this that when our
physical body dies, we who are IN CHRIST will be present with the Lord
Colossians 1:27 To
whom God hath made know what is the riches of the glory of this mystery
among the Gentiles; which is Christ
in you, the hope of glory.
God wants to save, not destroy.
- He wants us to be able to walk
with Him constantly.
- He wants us to trust Him in troubles.
- He wants us to live forever and
not perish.
- Sin separates us from God's
blessings, from eternal live and from the Holy Spirit from
indwelling in our lives.
- God sent Jesus to remove the sin
from us by dying for all our sins in our place.
- In order for His death and
sacrifice to count for us, we need first to believe what He did
for us.
- In order to receive this blessing
we must repent or renounce sin. Turn from it and turn to Christ
for salvation.
- If we are sincere and really want
to be saved, He will save us from sin and grant us eternal life.
- The Holy Spirit then comes to us
after God sees our faith in His Son Jesus Christ.
- God abides with us through the
Holy Spirit continually. We can be filled with the Holy Spirit
all the time.
- We will enter eternal life at the
point of our physical death but we already have this eternal
life within us through faith in Jesus.
Thank you Heavenly Father for your goodness and mercy.
